An immigrant drama shifting between scenic mountain views and city impressions: During a hiking tour with the American millionaire heiress Lilian, daring lumberjack Tonio Feuersinger and his friend Jörg are surprised by an avalanche. Lilian and Tonio survive, but Jörg dies in the snowslide. Nevertheless, Tonio’s lust for adventure remains untamed, and soon he leaves his native ......
