    Embittered after serving time for a burglary he did not commit, Joe Bell is soon back in jail, on a prison farm. His love for the foreman's daughter leads to a fight between them, leading to the older man's death due to a weak heart. Joe and Mabel go on the run as he thinks no-one would believe a nobody like him....

挺鸡汤的故事，生来倒霉的男主亡命天涯的过程中遇到各种好人相救，片子说不上无聊，但也不是特别有趣，不过Garfield和Lane的化学反应是真好。最后Garfield在法庭上各种无所谓的表情看着太搞笑了。

后半段不太行了，法庭戏也好白痴，而且妻子不是不能给丈夫作证人的吗？我看过的Halop跟Lane合作的第2部了，不过没啥交集

苦情鸳鸯亡命天涯的经典框架，后世应该有很多电影效仿，结尾的法庭段落不够出色，因为很早就有了死亡事实，既然在调查审判，没有真凶就不能算完整
