- 论史实、人物乃至服设，1566其实只能说是十成里才还原了三四成，但很惊人的是这么部不能完全算是历史正剧的剧却做到了历史向作品该有的教化反思作用，尤其是在去年出了众多怪异事情的当下，重看这部剧就更有意义。何况这是11年前的剧，可知十多年来几乎就没有任何变化。宝国叔的嘉靖无人再能超越。
- 没有达到预期值中完美的标准，但仍是国产电视剧历史戏说类中的翘楚，整部戏就像红楼梦，主线剧情外，留下大量伏笔，配角人物如杨金水、赵贞吉等，人设如此丰满，简直就是每人一部外传，编剧刘和平的功力深厚，在摆脱二月河的束缚后，隐隐有大家风范。海瑞的人设比历史上的原型更合理，熜哥被演得活了。
