- 二月河笔下的雍正，是两段盛世承前启后的顶梁支柱。关于胤禛大位承继的传说，以及背负后世骂名的类同际遇，尽管改编得伟岸高大有失偏颇，从问世年代来看却也紧紧贴着现实。新政就是改革嘛，内外交困同样承担着巨大压力。唐国强中年后化身为苦情戏专业户，扮演的领袖无不鞠躬尽瘁堪为天下表率。如果真有那么一位仁慈勤政满心只装着百姓的君王，任谁又不会感激涕零呢？至于邬先生这个隐藏人物也着实值得玩味，自他出走连出昏招而且怎么也停不下来。然而全剧的扩散思维或许是，哪怕雍正身边都是得力忠诚的下属，政敌也都被完全肃清，那么又能否确保从中央到地方的每一个环节都如此忠君爱民呢？君王终其一生去实践理想，尚且屡屡受制于各方约束而力有未逮。所以抓眼球的党争和励精图治都是洒在明面上的狗血，长治久安终究得靠严厉的法治监督，只此一途而已。
