- 康熙的戏份儿明显要比雍正当皇帝的时候精彩太多，这也是原著内容所限，以及为了“洗白”编剧改编时力有未逮所致。后半部显得雍正毛毛糙糙，其实他心思缜密、喜怒无常、勤于政务又迷信好色。而且雍正八年到雍正十三年之间的跨度只在最后两三集，有些草率了。但康熙部分的台词，每一句都值得背诵。
- 准确而富有层次的视觉再现让稍显刻意的电影化处理有了充分的理由，拓展了原作的成长内核，让九十年代的巨变成为各种暴力的叠加和失语。导演的风格已经非常清晰，坚定和封闭之间的界限非常微妙，期待他做得更好。
